Hi! I’m Alex, the owner of Blingle! of Portland. I started this company in September 2022, after over 10 years in the Army as an Infantry Officer and Ranger. After graduating West Point in 2012, I deployed twice, once to Afghanistan, and once to Syria as a Company Commander, and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. I saw in Blingle the opportunity to make a dramatic shift in my life, and use the leadership and organizational skills I had developed to make people's homes and businesses more pleasant, inviting, and fun. So, I left the Army, did one final move to Maine, and began building. I found that I loved lighting, and I loved working with home and business owners to make their vision for their property a reality. The design process is legitimately fun, and there is nothing in the world like seeing the end result light up my community.
